It is a low-cost technology for wireless communication between electronic devices within short distances. With Bluetooth you can detect and connect your device quickly to other devices that have the same technology and communicate with each other for free. |

The broadcast equipment in your network catches default equipmenst with bluetooth on and visible, such as mobile phones, SmartPhones, PDA's, PC's, sending files (BLUECASTING) for free with multimedia content: images, music, ringtones, videos, games in flash or java, discount coupons or promotions and so on. The receivers can, after allowing (Opt-In), download those files to their equipment free of charge, and this is why it is so effective, because messages are allowed.
The data transfer rate depends on the type of handset the consumer has, but in general transfer rates are around 20k to 30k per second. This is around 10 times faster than a standard 2.5G network delivers via GPRS and as fast [or in many cases faster] than the emerging 3G standard.
The DIB operates at the 2.45GHz frequency which falls within the IMS band. This is an existing frequency range which has been cleared globally for use with Industrial, Medical and Scientific radio transfer and as such is a well established standard. |

What is Proximity Marketing? |
|
|
|
|
Proximity Marketing, also known as Bluetooth Proximity Marketing or Bluecast uses the medium of communication that most arouses the attention of the recipient: the mobile phone. It's held in a place where restricted within a radius of action pre defined, are transmitted (Bluecasting) content to equipment that are receptive.
The proximity of marketing real extols the sustainability of the conditions of reciprocity, acceptance of change and of themselves, projecting them in all their public relations.
We can replace other channels of communication, for simplicity, the ease of data storage, the kind that are environmentally friendly gifted the shares.
Of course, until this ideal situation, where we stop creating waste in nature, there will be a great period of 'evangelization' path that we have had for over 4 years, when we started to use this technology to transfer files and messages into very limited actions for some customers.
The use of the proximity marketing could be for the distribution of media files, txt, games and social applications and to advertise. |
